    Mary Anagnost ’86

    Mary Anagnost ’86 is the director of programs and facility operations for Greenberg House. She is responsible for maintaining the 110-year old historic facility; scheduling in-house activity; designing and executing off-site events for alumni, donors, and friends; and creating community partnership programs. She oversees all administrative aspects of Greenberg House, including vendor relationships and contracts.

    Mary also works closely with the University’s regional advancement team and college-based development officers—researching area alumni, establishing relationships, and assisting in building a network of prospective donors. Greenberg House’s outreach extends to nearly 16,000 alumni, friends, and parents in the Maryland, DC, and Virginia region. In addition, there are approximately 500 students from the region enrolled on main campus annually.

    Mary graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a degree in magazine. She worked for four years at U.S. News & World Report before joining the Greenberg House staff in 1990. Originally from Montour Falls, New York, Mary now resides in Baltimore, Maryland.

    Maria Guarrera

    Maria Guarrera joined Syracuse’s regional advancement team in fall 2015. She began her career in fundraising at her alma mater, Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, as a student caller raising unrestricted funds for the university. Following her time there, she relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, and worked at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for more than five years. During that time she served as associate director of annual giving, working toward a $1.1 million dollar annual goal, and then moved into the College of Liberal Arts as director of development, raising major gifts for the institution. Originally from western New York, Maria and her husband, Kyle, are delighted to be back in the area and closer to their family.

    Meredith

    Meredith Smith

    Meredith Smith joined the Greenberg House staff in spring 2016. In her position, she works closely with students, alumni, and parents in the DC metropolitan area and is responsible for implementing new alumni programs, including the launch of #OttoInDC and Alumni University. Meredith is also responsible for the SU in DC communication strategy, coordinating DC-based events, and acting as the liaison to local alumni clubs.

    A native of the DC area, Meredith grew up in Arlington, Virginia, and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2011 with a degree in public relations. Prior to joining the Greenberg House staff, Meredith worked as the Communications Manager at the Arlington Chamber of Commerce and has spent a majority of her professional career in entertainment public relations and marketing.

    Kristin Baione-Clymer joined the Greenberg House staff in fall 2015 as assistant to the executive director of regional operations for Greenberg House. Her responsibilities include assisting with alumni engagement and creating special events; maintaining the Greenberg House website in addition to updating all SU in DC social media; and fulfilling basic administrative and reception duties.

    Kristin began her career in marketing with Sustain Creativity, a marketing firm in Bethesda, MD shortly after graduating with a B.S. in Business Communication from Stevenson University. Prior to graduation from Stevenson University, Kristin was the Marketing and Events Specialist for a wedding venue and Inn located in Baltimore, MD. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Strategic Communication at American University in Washington, DC, where she is continuing her growth as a communicator and learning the essentials to communicating in a business setting.

    Skylar Sabbag ’13 joined the Greenberg House staff in winter 2016 as assistant to the executive director of regional operations for Greenberg House. Her responsibilities include assisting with alumni engagement and creating special events; maintaining the Greenberg House website in addition to updating all SU in DC social media; and fulfilling basic administrative and reception duties.

    Skylar graduated from the School of Education with a degree in health and exercise science. While at Syracuse, Skylar was a letter winner for the Division I women’s soccer team. She is currently attending graduate school at Georgetown University in Washington, DC pursuing a master’s degree in sports management and interning with the Washington Spirit. She is also active with the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Originally from Swampscott, Massachusetts, Skylar now lives in Arlington, Virginia.
