Maria Guarrera

Maria Guarrera joined Syracuse’s regional advancement team in fall 2015. She began her career in fundraising at her alma mater, Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, as a student caller raising unrestricted funds for the university. Following her time there, she relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, and worked at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for more than five years. During that time she served as associate director of annual giving, working toward a $1.1 million dollar annual goal, and then moved into the College of Liberal Arts as director of development, raising major gifts for the institution.

Originally from western New York, Maria and her husband, Kyle, are delighted to be back in the area and closer to their family.
