Greenberg Speaker Series: Difficult Memories

As Syracuse University celebrates 150 years of impact, Greenberg House and The Lender Center for Social Justice were proud to produce this year’s Greenberg Speaker Series, “Difficult Memories”, on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. Gathering together prominent museum and memorial directors, critical scholars and advocates for a roundtable discussion, “Difficult Memories” was meant to promote dialogue about how we might productively and respectfully engage with our shared past and learn from it. The discussion was moderated by Kendall Phillips, Co-Director of The Lender Center for Social Justice, and focused on how to navigate the seemingly inevitable conflicts and controversies arising from remembering past instances of injustice.
